As Terravto took out IT infrastructure in a cloud

On November 17, 2015 it became known of the project of transfer of IT infrastructure of holding "Terra car" in a cloud of provider IaaS- IT-Grad^[1].

Project conditions

As a part of holding of 11 car centers in St. Petersburg and in the northwest of the country, including network of painting and body productions and network of salons on car sale with a run.

In 2011 owners of business made the decision on consolidation of assets and creation of management company, however having carried out inventory of IT infrastructure and the processes operating in the company, drew a conclusion - consolidation on the available resources and capacities is impossible.

The company made the decision on transfer of infrastructure on outsourcing. This option seemed to the company the most profitable as others demanded considerable investments, formation of IT department for support of own park of the equipment.

Before the choice of hosting provider it was carried out the analysis of the market participants who are available at that time and a choice made for benefit of IT-GRAD company.

Project Progress

As a result of the made decision in a cloud took out services, operating activities and customer service, crucial for business. For November 17, 2015 in a cloud of IaaS-provider terminal servers, the gateway, database servers, the server of the active directory (Active Directory) and many other things are placed. From the telecom operator servicing "Terra car" the optics is brought to a cloud of provider that allows users to interpret networked environment as a local network at offices of the company.

In addition to transfer in a cloud of a server framework, translated all telecommunication component, including mail services there, organized traffic filtering.

Project Results

Vyacheslav Chuprakov, the associate director on technical support service of Terravto, said:

"The effective objective of merger of companies was achieved. Business receives all reports from "one window" now. It became many times easier to service such infrastructure — both physically, and logically. The Terra car programmers could integrate and unify the available databases, now all dealer centers work according to the uniform developed and approved standards. In crisis we continue to please clients with reasonable prices, high-quality service and individual approach. In plans — development in regions".
