Content

2018: Automation of opening of accounts for legal persons

On March 1, 2018 announced Otkrytiye bank implementation of process of intellectual extraction of data from the documents necessary for opening of the checking account provided by legal entities. Specialists of bank within the joint project with ABBYY company developed the special solution which makes the complete semantico-syntactical analysis of contents of documents for this purpose. The machine learning technology allowing to distinguish, classify, take, check and to transfer automatically data to information systems of bank is its cornerstone.

Thanks to the implemented solution the client just needs to leave the request on the website (to enter a TIN, all other data are tightened automatically) and to load scans of the documents necessary for opening of the account. A system will automatically specify existence of all documents and will carry out their inspection. Reservation of the account takes 2 minutes. Communication with bank takes place online.

On the next stage the Otkrytiye bank due to increase in accuracy and speed of recognition of data is going to exclude need of participation of employees for the procedure, to provide its full automation and to reduce terms of opening of the account twice.

2015: ABBYY FlexiCapture implementation

December 2, 2015. The ABBYY company announced ABBYY FlexiCapture system implementation in Otkrytiye bank.

Choosing a Solution

The management of Otkrytiye Bank made a choice for benefit of ABBYY FlexiCapture. Ease of implementation, speed and simplicity of the offered algorithm of document handling, a possibility of scalability, a fast payback period and integration into the existing automated banking system (ABS) formed the basis for this solution. The solution allows to automate information extraction from paper documents and to save data in an enterprise information system that reduces costs and increases customer service quality.

Result

The solution allowed bank to implement the project on fall forward and qualities of processing of a flow of incoming documents. The ABBYY FlexiCapture system is used at stages of scanning, verification, control of documents and transfers of the acquired information in the system of credit institution. The solution allowed to reduce labor costs by document handling by 30 times and almost to reduce the risks connected with a human factor to zero.

Today in Otkrytiye Bank all process of verification and control of the entering documentation is unified and transferred to a back office. It allows qualified employees not to spend time for document handling, and to be engaged in sales of banking products and customer service. Due to process optimization of document handling it was succeeded to implement the mechanism of "control of 4 eyes". Now process of control of documents became the most exact and effective thanks to separation of powers of employees at verification of instructions. Depending on type and contents of the document adaptive rules of control are applied.

Development Plans

It is in the future going to automate and improve processing of other bank documents and also to create electronic archive, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.
