Content

December 2, 2015. PJSC Rostelecom transferred macroregional branch "Severo-Zapad"[1] of Xerox on service maintenance the park of a printing equipment of different producers.

Goals and Objectives

PJSC Rostelecom set a goal to cut down expenses on support of printing infrastructure, to make them stabler and predictable. For the solution of assigned tasks the customer intended to give to the uniform contractor service maintenance about 2800 printing devices distributed on more than 100 platforms in the territory of the region. The service had to cover a full stroke of management of requests, including their acceptance, processing, transfer to different instances, accomplishment of technical works, delivery of supplies and closing of incidents in an information system.

Choosing a Solution

The supplier of service was selected according to the results of tender. Rostelecom gave preference to Xerox company as it offered the minimum cost at required service quality.

Project Progress

At the first stage of project implementation the Xerox company booked audit of all printing infrastructure of PJSC Rostelecom branch and offered the plan of its optimization. Where it is possible, diagnostics of the equipment was transferred to a remote format. For increase in level of service specialists of Xerox created mini-warehouses of supplies in places of concentration of critical business processes and on platforms with a significant amount of printing devices.

Result

As a result of project implementation the customer could standardize the service level of the printing equipment in all divisions of branch. At the same time significant increase in transparency of expenses as under the contract of costs are tied to print cost was reached. Besides, physical and remote audit helped the customer to create a better understanding about efficiency of use of the park of the office equipment. In the future this information can be used for optimization of printing infrastructure. Thanks to project implementation the customer could reduce costs, receive the guaranteed level of service of printing and increase its transparency.

Development Plans

In the long term the company is going to scale service on other branches.
