Protekor completed the project on transition to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016

The Protekor company with assistance of consulting company WillMore began the project on transition to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 from version 2009. Existence of more wide functionality, the modern technology architecture of the new version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 supporting work on tablets and any other mobile devices, existence of direct integration with Microsoft Office 365 and also the improved development tools became the main premises of the project.

All infrastrura will be postponed for cloud services of Microsoft Azure. It will affect both SQL- of the server, and the Dynamics NAV 2016 server that will allow to refuse the maintenance of local servers and will provide mobile access to a system to all staff of the company from any place in the world.

In February, 2016 Protekor company one of the first in Russia completed the project on transition to the new version of the ERP system of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016. The project was implemented with assistance of consulting company WillMore, and all complex of works managed to be implemented in 2 months.

The updated functionality and modern technology architecture of the new version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016, existence of integration with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Link allowed to increase employee performance in comparison with NAV 2009. The new version gave the automatic accessibility via mobile devices, providing all to the staff of the company an opportunity to work from any place in the world.

All infrastructure, including SQL-the server and the Dynamics NAV 2016 server, were deployed on cloud services of Microsoft Azure that allowed to refuse the maintenance of local servers. As Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 has other technology architecture, preserving of all historical data, documents and postings and also significant changes in business logic of systems was a basic condition from Protekor company. With respect thereto the project team had to develop tools for correct data transfer and approval of the customization executed in the course of implementation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009.

The choice of a cloud platform of Azure raised a question of upgrade of the existing software products including ERP systems of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009.
