2023: Passing PCI DSS Compliance Audit
The M1 data center has been audited for compliance with the requirements of the international PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), which confirms the security of payment information. This was announced on November 1, 2023 by Stack Group (Stack Group).
The availability of a PCI DSS certificate of compliance is essential for data centers that house company information systems for processing, storing and transmitting data about holders of card-based systems.
The M1 data center complies with a wider range of security measures than provided for by the PCI DSS standard, every year work is carried out to modernize all engineering systems, and current solutions and equipment are implemented. This allows the data center to remain one of the most sought-after and safe in the colocation market, which confirms, among other things, PCI DSS certification, "said Noha Mödov, CEO of Stack Telecom. |
The M1 data center is one of the largest in the Moscow region. All engineering components of "M1" are reserved according to the scheme N + 1 and higher, which guarantees the reliability of the services provided. The highly reliable IT infrastructure of the M1 data center is used to accommodate the main and backup IT systems of large and medium-sized businesses, as well as large cloud providers.
2016
In the spring of 2016, "M1" is not only Colocation services (providing racks for hosting servers connected to engineering systems), but also Cloud services based on the M1Cloud virtual data center (providing computing power).
At the end of 2016, revenue growth from commercial data center services is projected at 25%. In 2015, it amounted to 1.24 billion rubles. Many Russian as well as Western companies use M1 to host main and backup IT systems. Structure of the client portfolio: 54% - financial organizations, 13% - hosting providers and media projects, 10% - telecom operators, 7% - retail, 6% - integrators, 5% - oil and gas and energy companies, 1% - transport companies and 4% - others.
Annual investments in the development of the infrastructure of the M1 data center range from 100 million rubles.
All engineering systems of "M1" are constantly modernized, redundancy of all critical nodes, routes for obtaining electricity and coolant delivery routes is provided. It is possible to decommission any node for its maintenance while maintaining the full functionality of the object as a whole, that is, availability at the level of 99.982%. All engineering components "M1" are reserved according to the scheme N + 1 and higher. The M1 data center has actually been operating uninterrupted since 2008. In 2016, the monitoring system monitors about 1800 parameters of engineering equipment and climatic parameters of the data center every day. Last year, M1 was certified for Uptime Institute Professional Services standards, which is certified by Tier III Certification of Design Documents.
Halls with 200-300 standing places are put into operation once every two years. "M1" combines five halls, where more than 1,400 racks are located. The total power of the data center for 2016 is about 5000 kW (the average annual PUE is 1.4). The total area of the data center is more than 3800 square meters.
A proprietary data network built using DWDM and MPLS technologies allows customers to provide a high-speed and fault-tolerant data transmission method.
2015
Tier III Uptime Institute Certificate
Stack Group's M1 data center was certified at the end of 2015 for Uptime Institute Professional Services standards, which is certified by Tier III Certification of Design Documents.
This certificate confirms that according to the design documentation on the basis of which the M1 data center was built, it is possible to decommission any node for its maintenance while maintaining the full functionality of the facility as a whole, that is, availability at the level of 99.982%. According to Uptime standards, "M1" provides for the reservation of critical nodes, routes for obtaining electricity and coolant delivery routes. In particular, the network power supply from the city network is not the main source of electricity, the city network serves only as an additional power source, while the DGP system is able to provide operation at full power, without duration restrictions.
PCI DSS 3.1 Certificate
DialogueNauka, a system integrator in the field of information security, in the interests of Stack Group completed in December 2015 a set of works to bring the M1 data center in line with the requirements of the international PCI DSS payment card security standard version 3.1.
At the beginning of the project, DialogueScience consultants conducted a preliminary audit of the compliance of the M1 data center with the requirements of the standard and developed a list of detailed recommendations for bringing PCI DSS version 3.1 into compliance. Then the organizational and administrative documents necessary to comply with the requirements of the PCI DSS standard were developed. In conclusion, the specialists of DialogueNauka JSC conducted a certification assessment of compliance with the requirements of the PCI DSS standard, the results of which were successful, which made it possible to issue a PCI DSS 3.1 compliance certificate to Stack Group.
2014: Capacity - 950 server racks
For 2014, the capacity is 950 server racks. It is possible to supply power up to 10 kW to racks with high-load equipment.
2006: Commissioning
The M1 data center was commissioned in 2006. The total area of the data center at that time was 3850 sq.m., of which 2400 sq.m. were given over to four server rooms with a loading capacity of 5-8 kW per rack.
