Management system for exclusive accounts in Kaspersky Lab

In Kaspersky Lab the project on creation of a single automated system on management of exclusive accounts is complete at the end of 2015. The core of a system selected products of CyberArk company. Implementation is performed by ITProtect company – the Russian specialized cybersecurity integrator.

Exclusive accounts are used by both administrators of IT systems, and business applications and system services at their appeal to critical resources. Usually these accounts are tied to the specific equipment or service, but not connected with any certain employee, and often one account can be used by several administrators. Thus, they give almost unlimited access to many resources of the company.

Kaspersky Lab estimates the risks connected with exclusive accounts as some of the most critical and with respect thereto initiated the project on system implementation of management of them using the solution of CyberArk company.

Main objectives of the project were tasks of ensuring management and control of work of privileged users, including registration of all operations performed by removed administrators of information systems. The implemented system allows to control more than 1000 applied IT systems.

The project of Kaspersky Lab became one of the most difficult and interesting projects in Russia. Integration with cloud services, the distributed data assets, the raised standards of security made this project sign for us. Therefore I want to thank a command of Kaspersky Lab for the choice of our technologies and also our partner – ITProtect company – for the project on implementation executed at the high level.
