After IT containers began to use such large-scale companies as Facebook and Netflix, containers attract to themselves the increasing interest as a method of dynamic and effective creation of new generation mobile, a web and BigData-applications.

In 2016 container technologies will develop further, and the appearing functions will make them quite applicable for deployment of corporate applications.

Containers of the corporate level will have to give the answer to two important calls. First, containers need to provide persistence of the used data in usage time. This attribute is not obligatory for the applications without the status used by social networks. If the container with the application of social network glitches, it can just be created again. However for providing complete corporate service it is necessary to provide persistence that all data retrieveds could be recovered easily even in case of failure. The problem of stabilization of data can be solved due to addition of the specification of containers with interfaces for storage systems of the corporate level – as based on the existing protocols, and the new abstractions characteristic only for containers.

Secondly, containers will need to become more mature to provide support of corporate security requirements and controllability. Container architecture provide microservices which are actually not quite ready to work in corporate environment. In them are limited or auditing facilities, trust and reliability assessment are not provided at all. Even the basic concept of firewalls is not implemented for containers yet. We expect the solution of these problems in 2016 as safety features and managements of the corporate level appear as a part of specifications of container solutions.
