In that Primorsk the Safari park organizes online broadcasting

The seaside Safari park became widely known thanks to a tiger to Amur which instead of eating a goat as the production, made friends with it. Every day thousands of people visit the official site of the park and follow the developments in the open-air cage of Amur and Timur.

The safari park is in 70 km from Vladivostok. Use of the satellite Internet was the only solution for the organization of broadcasting from video cameras. Internet access was provided by Sputnik Video LLC company. The platform Jupiter from the Express AM5 spacecraft allowed to provide the outgoing channel of 10 Mbps.

On December 31 on air "Vesti24" was announced the beginning of broadcasting. Because of influx of persons interested at first the safari park website, and then and servers of Line did not sustain loading. Within two hours necessary capacities were added, and stability of broadcasting is recovered.

On January 2, after carrying out the analysis of viewings, it became clear that the geography looking is not limited to Russia. Servers in Holland and the USA are added to service.

On January 5 the administration of the Safari park appealed to limit unauthorized placement of broadcasting on the third-party websites. In two days the necessary functionality was ready. In the nearest future the given function will be available to all clients of Line: an opportunity to specify the list of the websites on which it is authorized to add broadcasting.

Let's sum up the results of this event:

• more than 2,500,000 connections to IP cameras are recorded;
• more than 3000 people at the same time observed broadcasting online;
• 300−500 people watch online broadcasting regardless of time of day;
• 30% browsing used smartphones and tablets based on iOS and Android.

At present " line.repeater " locates the servers installed in Russia, Holland, the USA, total capacity of 12 GB / page.
