National Postal Service Ltd implemented the solution of ABBYY to accelerate processing of route sheets and preparation of delivery reports of correspondence for clients. Using the solution more than 160 thousand route sheets a year are processed.
Earlier the staff of the company manually entered data from route sheets, necessary for report generation, in the computer, but because of the large volume of information this work took away a lot of time. Operators had to look for visually the necessary data among hundreds of lines that increased an error probability.
Clients expect the delivery report in the shortest possible time therefore the automated and scalable solution which would help to transfer quickly data from paper carrier to the electronic document without loss of quality was necessary. The company selected the ABBYY FlexiCapture system which met all requirements. The important role when choosing was played by high quality of recognition of data which was shown by technologies of ABBYY.
After ABBYY FlexiCapture implementation time of creation of reports and processing of route sheets as employees do not enter data manually any more three times decreased. Stream input of documents allows to save also human resources: now for processing of all route sheets only one specialist instead of two-three is necessary earlier.
