Within the new contract MegaFon will provide service about 100 office mobile numbers of staff of regional administration. Video surveillance system of highways

The video surveillance system of highways operating in the Tambov region within the joint project of MegaFon, administration of the region and regional traffic police during 2015 provided decrease in number of road accident in the territory of the area.

On the main highways of the region since 2015 15 video cameras united in the protected VPN network of MegaFon by the principle of "star" — with the managing center for information processing and the points subordinated to it help to ensure traffic safety. Information from cameras of road video surveillance on high-speed Internet channels comes to a data processing center for operational informing law enforcement agencies and administrative departments, divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In a year the project already confirmed the high efficiency — using road video cameras more than 600 thousand violations are revealed and processed. Thanks to their work it was succeeded to lower statistics of accident rate on the main highways of area — the number of the road accidents decreased by 14.9%, the number of victims in road accident was reduced by 19%.

Last year with its use in the territory of the area 600 thousand violations are stopped — Yury Kuzmenko, the head of department on security issues and law and order of administration of the Tambov region notes. — Video fixing allows not only to reveal quickly offenses on the most popular highways, but also guarantees to residents of Tambov timely reaction of security officers and the Ministry of Emergency Situations to emergencies".

9 cameras are located on the federal highway M6 (P22) which connects the cities of Moscow-Tambov-Volgograd-Astrakhan and also 6 cameras on highways of regional value on entrances and departures of the largest cities of the region — in Umyotsky, Tambov, Michurinsk, Kirsanovsk and other areas.
