The information center of Volgograd buys Microsoft since did not find an alternative in the register of the Russian software

On January 13 the Volgograd MBU "City Information Centre" announced running an electronic auction on rendering services in providing licenses within the agreement of Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Subscription^[1].

The starting price of the contract is 7.1 million rubles. For this amount the customer is going to obtain 1626 licenses for different software of Microsoft. Among them 500 licenses Office Professional Plus, 500 licenses Windows Enterprise, 500 sets of licenses of client access Core CAL, 15 licenses Windows Server Standard, 50 licenses Skype for Business Server Enterprise, 50 licenses Skype for Business Server Plus, etc.

Applications for participation in purchase are accepted till February 12, 2016. Running an electronic auction is planned for February 18, 2016.

In justification of impossibility of observance of prohibition on purchases of the foreign software it is said that required software is absent in the register of the Russian programs.

The register of the Russian software as of January 28, 2016 does not contain data on one software product. At the same time, registration applications in the register are submitted for [1] the products "MyOffice" and Alt Linux 7.0 which can be considered alternatives of Microsoft Office and Windows, respectively.

According to regulations of work of the register, the expert advice which part representatives of the Russian software developers and also officials are should consider the submitted applications.
