Talon AD7200 is the wireless router of the IEEE 802.11ad (WiGig) standard.

On January 6, 2016 the TP-Link company provided the wireless[1].

The device is created on the QCA9500 chip of production of Qualcomm Atheros company. Basic purpose of WiGig – the fastest communication within one room. Theoretically at distance to ten meters in a line of sight of WiGig allows to reach the speed of 6.77 Gbps.

To reach such speed eight antennas, technology of fine tuning of the direction characteristic on an array of transmitters (beamforming) are used. Speed limit of the router is stated in mode 802.11ad at the level of 4.6 Gbps.

Simultaneous service of several wireless clients in it is implemented by means of Multi-user MIMO technology and separation of frequency ranges. TP-Link Talon AD7200 works in the GHz mode 2.4/5 / 60. It can be used in the conditions of a zashumlyonnost.

By means of WiGig files are transferred quicker, for example, the one and a half hour movie in permission 4K will be copied less than in five minutes. Cumulative data transfer rate is stated up to 7.2 Gbps.

For other tasks former standards of Wi-fi are used. Talon AD7200 supports everything, including 802.11ac and more widespread a/b/g/n.

For connection of external drives and network printers on the router USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports are provided. Wire connections are possible by means of four gigabit ports.

The beginning of sales of Talon AD7200 is supposed in the second half of 2016.
