2022
Improved end-to-end monitoring of IT infrastructure services
ON INITIs SOLO has improved the end-to-end monitoring of IT Infrastructure customer services. The company Initi announced this on May 16, 2022.
As part of the development of end-to-end monitoring functions, the IT infrastructure and ICT component of INITIs SOLO software added the following functionality:
- Implemented automatic topology construction and monitoring for dynamic routing protocols: IS-IS, OSPF, EIGRP in multivendor networks
- For the convenience of administration, the system logic management functionality from the GUI has been added
- As part of the task of monitoring the status of the system components and the quality of incoming data, feedback was implemented with the core of the monitoring system for all types of data collectors, which also led to increased stability and responsiveness of the system as a whole.
INITIs LLC offer Customers to implement a service approach to monitoring. INITIs SOLO software uses a resource and service model to achieve maximum fault tolerance of customer IT services. At the same time, end-to-end correlation of accidents on the network and logical topology with the service is carried out, including all levels of IT infrastructure:
- automatically determine the root cause of service inaccessibility with projection of key accident on the service;
- automatic detection and monitoring of critical applications
- IT infrastructure physical and logical topologies are automatically detected and monitored.
This, in turn, allows you to reduce the time to identify services affected by the accident, quickly notify those responsible for the operation of emergency facilities.
INITIs SOLO is a universal tool for duty shift, operation service and management, which allows you to consolidate event and statistical data on the functioning of various technological domains, such as:
- Equipment of IP networks, transport networks, data transmission networks, equipment of satellite communication networks
- Process infrastructure elements: controllers, APCS, SCADA, etc.
- Electrical equipment, air conditioning, sensors
- Server equipment, DB, application software, storage systems, virtualization systems, etc.
- IB elements and equipment: firewalls, antivirus, DLP, etc.
Adding Visualization Tools
Tools ON have been added to INITIs SOLO to allow visualization you to add panoramic snapshots and transition points for logical groups of objects. The company INITIs (INITI) announced this on May 5, 2022. On panoramas, the user can specify the location of the equipment that is on monitoring in reference to real server space objects and not only. This tool is popular for operations departments, especially for large organizations with a large amount of equipment and a distributed infrastructure. For example, the system helps the user quickly find the physical server in a specific rack on a remote object.
The software of the System for processing, correlation and display of events "INITIs SOLO" version 3.0 does not use third-party components. Software complies with the standards of application on the public communication network as equipment of automated monitoring systems of telecommunication networks and is included in the Unified Register of Russian programs for electronic computers and databases. State Registration Certificate No. 2019619820.
Version 3.0.5 with modified JSON RPC 2.0 API
On April 7, 2022, the company INITIs (INITI) introduced ' ON INITIs SOLO' version 3.0.5 with a modified API JSON RPC 2.0 standard for integration external systems.
The JSON RPC 2.0 API in the INITIs SOLO monitoring system allows both uploading of various data (models and components, topology, accidents, etc.) and provides the necessary control functionality (updating the attributes of models and accidents, topology change, etc.). Using the API allows you to easily implement the integration of INITI SOLO with the software used by Customers.
The INITIs SOLO monitoring system allows you to work with a large number of devices (more than 500 thousand units as of April 2022) and events (more than 10 thousand EPS). The system operates in the mode of active polling and collection of event data, collects data (including raw data) from multi-technical, multivendor equipment and software. This searches not only for anomalies and vulnerabilities, but also for Root cause.
Compatibility with Red OS
The Russian IT-the companies INITIS"" and RED SOFT"" confirmed the correctness of working operating system RED OS with the monitoring system IT Infrastructure and ICT services "INITIs SOLO." This was announced by Red Soft on April 1, 2022.
{{quote 'author = said Andrey Uchamprin, Director of Business Development at INITI. | The system was deployed on the provided distribution, put on monitoring both the OS itself and a number of external objects. Everything works normally, there were no deviations in the work both at the level of our application software and at the level of the operating system. We recommend that our customers and partners use RED OS to implement productive, high-load installations of INITIs SOLO software,}}
{{quote 'author = noted Rustam Rustamov, Deputy General Director of RED SOFT. | The introduction of the INITIs SOLO monitoring system into the RED OS ecosystem is an important and timely step. Indeed, taking into account the ban on the use of foreign software, many industrial facilities of KII will need domestic specialized products to continue their activities. And our joint solution with INITIs can help customers quickly reorient,}}
Update MPLS Network Monitoring Module
The manufacturer of the Russian monitoring system "INITIs SOLO" company INITIs March 21, 2022 announced the update of the monitoring module MPLS networks and routing protocols. The monitoring of routing protocols now supports discovery and monitoring of OSPF, BGP, ISIS, EIGRP.
Also, in the part of monitoring MPLS networks, the attribute composition of components of the type "Virtual connection" ("EoMPLS," "pseudowire") and "MPLS forwarding table" was supplemented, the widget "Virtual connection path" was added.
Module availability for IP address space management
The manufacturer of the Russian IT and telecom monitoring system, INITIs LLC, on March 9, 2022 announced the availability of a module for managing IP address space (IPAM).
This module records networks and IP addresses, automatically compiles subnet hierarchies when devices are detected, and creates scopes based on collectors, VRFs, and VLANs.
IPAM scans networks without creating device models, detects and generates an IP address conflict alarm on the network.
With IPAM, you can create both automatic and manual distribution of networks by scope. This displays in context the maps of the model networks and their containers in IPAM and provides visualization of the busy network resources.
And also, the features of the module include a quick transition to the device and interface from the network map and the prevailing network details - control and elimination of operator errors.
For its operation, the module uses autodiscover results (standard functionality of INITIs SOLO software). This significantly reduces the number of manual operations and performs objective control and accounting of IP network elements.
Launch universal integration platform module to provide system data for external sources
LLC INITIS"" March 4, 2022 announced the availability of the module of the Universal Integration Platform starting ON with INITIs SOLO 3.0.4 FP4.
The main objective of this module is data acquisition and providing universal access to data of a system INITIs of SOLO for external sources, such as tretyestoronny systems of monitoring, element managers, CMDB and other OSS/BSS of systems. The module implements such functionality as:
- Query arbitrary data from INITIs SOLO system core
- Subscription to change data in INITIs SOLO system core
- Processing of received data arbitrarily
- Transfer of processed data to third-party systems
For each integration type, a separate logical object is created and managed centrally from the system interface.
In addition to typical integration tasks, this module is used to implement the fault-tolerant architecture of INITIs SOLO software and to synchronize INITIs SOLO people, including in the fault-tolerant monitoring cluster.
The IP transport level is implemented using feedback functionality, which allows you to monitor the load on the main INITIs SOLO platform and prevents failures such as OOR and OOM.
2020
