Lufthansa Group, the largest airline of Europe, passed from the Jive platform to IBM Connections recently and offered employees more simplified and rational approach to joint work. Less than for a year of IBM transferred more than 120,000 users to the Connections platform. It allowed Lufthansa to provide clients with new services and also to improve work, to increase trust and productivity in the organization.
"Earlier our resources for joint work forced us to think and work in the mode of "incoming messages" – in the conditions of the unidirectional communication flows and information which remained in consciousness, on hard drives and in e-mail messages, – Heike Griss-Nega, the head of department of corporate platforms, department of corporate IT in Deutsche Lufthansa AG says. – IBM Connections helps us to go beyond this framework and to exchange the ideas irrespective of borders and temporary zones".
