Vocord FaceControl are tested in Academy of the Border service of Kazakhstan

The biometric systems of face recognition Vocord FaceControl of the Russian company Vokord were provided at the beginning of 2016 to specialists, teachers and students of Academy of the Border service of KNB of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Specialists of Vokord company placed the systems of biometric face recognition VOCORD FaceControl and Vocord FaceControl of control of citizens , 3D at the educational boundary boundaries, completely identical to boundary check-points of the Republic. For demonstration of opportunities of recognition and high-speed performance of systems identification of a large number of people was carried out. At the same time their appearance was specially changed: the make-up, sunglasses, false moustaches and beards is used. Nevertheless, in base of a system normal photos of volunteers without the artifacts complicating recognition on the person were used. Let's note that in all simulated system cases cope with the task without failures.

Also other advantages 3D - technologies are visually shown: the turn of the head and wearing dark glasses do not influence identification of the person in the system of recognition VOCORD FaceControl 3D. The last is extremely relevant owing to features of the Kazakhstan climate: in the summer at the majority of check points up to 70% of the people undergoing examination at the check point wear dark glasses.

Several tasks are set for the systems of recognition. In particular, acceleration of process of identification and processing of personal information of the citizens crossing border. At the same time identification by the system of face recognition happens on an input to the check point. Based on recognition the citizen goes to the corresponding cabin for control: thus, the persons brought in bases of search do not delay the general queue.

The second problem which is solved by the systems of recognition, – obtaining qualitative images of all people crossing border. At the same time, in case of the 3D VOCORD FaceControl system the human face 3D model which can be used further as a standard is created.

Besides, the systems of face recognition are involved in ensuring public security; in particular, they counteract penetration of terrorists and criminals into points of border control which are places of mass accumulation of people.

Installation of the 3D VOCORD FaceControl and VOCORD FaceControl systems in Academy of the Border service of KNB of the Republic of Kazakhstan became possible thanks to joint work with regional partners.
