Hitachi Hyper Scale-Out Platform (HSP)

Hardware and software solution of Hitachi Hyper Scale-Out Platform (HSP) is created for natural interaction with the products Pentaho and offers customers the simplified implementation and deployment of the projects connected with the analysis and management of Big Data.

HSP provides natural integration into the solution Pentaho Enterprise Platform and suggests customers to create the complex software-defined superconvergent platform for work with Big Data. Relying both on powerful computing functionality, and on possibilities of data storage and virtualization, the HSP platform of series 400 provides uniform infrastructure for support of integration of Big Data, the built-in business intelligence and the simplified management of information streams.

Rapid development of technologies even more often puts the large organizations before need to analyze and take competitive advantages from huge arrays of information created by the computers, sensors of the equipment and devices generating data of Internet of Things (IoT). HSP offers software-defined architecture with the centralized storage and a possibility of processing of large volume of data. The solution also provides high availability and simplicity of management of IT systems and provides payment in process of expansion of information infrastructure (pay-as-you-grow). The release of HSP continues itself strategy implementation of Hitachi on creation of a software-defined data processing center for simplification of providing IT services. Similar simplification will become possible due to additional abstraction from infrastructure, expansion of the accessibility to data and automation. Initially the solution was focused only on analytics of Big Data. However in the long term development of HSP will be directed to achievement of the indicators of total cost of ownership (TCO), best in the class, for the most different IT loadings. Hitachi will offer customers two options of the HSP configuration supporting a wide number of corporate applications with different requirements to performance: the first, with the disks Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) available already now, and the second, entirely constructed based on a flash memory which deliveries are going to begin in the middle of 2016.
