In February, 2016 Mail.Ru Group announced the joint project with Qrator Labs company for gain of protection against DDoS attacks. Additional security measures mention the multi-user game Mail.Ru Group portals.
For young game projects, such as Armored Warfare: The Armata project, during active inflow of new players stability of system resources is one of the most important tasks. Obvious violation of work of game servers directly affects attractiveness of the project for newly arrived participants. The audience of our games constantly grows, and together with it also our responsibility to millions of our users grows. Creation of comfortable conditions – one of our main priorities. Stimulation of growth and strengthening of the Russian game industry directly depends on those steps which are taken by her leaders. If someone from them is not ready to move to the following level, it can affect not only players of separate projects, but also undermine confidence to all market in general. It is pleasant to see that not we some actively work in this direction. Oleg Shpilchevsky, head of the game Mail.Ru Group direction

In our opinion, it is very timely step. We welcome this solution Mail.Ru Group. Having the extensive customer base, we observe trends of development of threats in the key industries. The game industry – the traditional leader in growth of number of incidents. Constantly also the technical complexity of the attacks grows that does protection against DDoS by a classical example of "a competition of armor and a shell" therefore the companies need to update the system of protection regularly. |
Additional protection will be installed on servers of game projects of the company until the end of March, 2016.
