Wrike learned to appoint employees to tasks automatically
In November, 2017 in Wrike the possibility of automatic appointment of employees at each stage of work appeared. Thanks to it, heads should not trace manually tasks in the status "waitings" to reassign them to other employees. And employees will be able to plan loading in advance and not to switch from already begun work to suddenly fallen down urgent tasks.
It is very simple to configure automation. For this purpose it is necessary to create workflow (a series of the possible statuses of readiness of a task), to note all stages of work and people who can be engaged in them and also select folders or projects to which it is necessary to apply new process. When the status of a task in the folder or the project changes, new contractors will receive the notification that it is possible to get to work.
It is a new step in automation of workflows to which the Wrike command pays special attention in development plans for a product. Earlier users had an opportunity to automatically turn requests of clients into projects in a system and also to create tasks from GMail and Slack.
Integration with Microsoft Outlook is expanded
On May 16, 2017 the Wrike company announced development of integration of a project management system of Wrike with Microsoft Office 365. Now in its structure support of interactive messages in Outlook.
Wrike purpose — to make working communications transparent, fast and convenient, irrespective of applications and services which are used by a command. Outlook — one of such working tools.
By means of integration into interactive messages of Outlook, users of Wrike can update contents of tasks (terms, the statuses and comments) from the interface of an e-mail client. In Wrike started Office 365 Connector which automatically notifies all participants of group chats of Outlook and MS Teams on all working updates.
The added features will help users of Wrike to save time for information search and to offer a command access to relevant terms, documents and discussions on the project, and the uniform working space will make team work as more effective.
2016
Reports in real time
On November 24, 2016 the Wrike company provided additional functionality for report generation in real time with shared access.
The upgraded mechanism of preparation of reports will allow to obtain more analytical information on the status of tasks and projects, to quickly share them with other users.
The technology of service simplifies coordination of actions of a command, adding function of shared access to reports in real time. The configured reports help to create different cuts of up-to-date information on projects in a schedule type or tables:
- the report on team progress in a month,
- efficiency of individual employees on key metrics,
- the status on the contractor,
- the status on commands and projects
- many other things.
The user can create the report and provide to it access to any user group, they will receive about it the notification. Reports are updated in real time therefore all users will have an access to data on a relevant situation. It will help:
- simplify synchronization of actions of the commands working on one project
- in advance to learn about delays and to take necessary measures,
- it is more effective to distribute workload between employees.
Shared access to reports in real time will increase efficiency of joint work and number of the projects which are handed over in time.
Function is available to subscribers of packets of Wrike Business and Wrike Enterprise.
Bilateral integration with Github
On November 1, 2016 the Wrike company announced start of bilateral integration with a product of Github company.
The solution is focused on the companies using for development of Github. Use of different applications slows down interaction between departments. Business specialists do not see a relevant picture of progress on requests (issues) in platforms for development, and it is difficult for developers to aggregate and prioritize the business command requests arriving on different channels. It results in inconsistency of actions, delays of terms, low productivity.
Double-ended synchronization of Wrike and Github on the Unito platform provides to all staff of the company a uniform picture of progress on projects where they got used to work. While heads and business specialists plan and keep projects in Wrike, developers can monitor all changes in tasks directly from Github. All changes made in Github requests will be synchronized with tasks.
With integration functions become available to users:
- Creation of new requests in Github from Wrike
- Viewing all changes of requests in Github from Wrike
- The comments added to Wrike are synchronized with Github and vice versa
- Creation of reports in Wrike on the progress made in Github
Using abilities to integrate, marketing specialists, specialists of support and sales have an opportunity to learn timely about terms of the following release, the closed tickets, to automatically create requests to developers and to keep track of their status, without spending time for clarification of the facts of the case.
Bilateral integration of Wrike and Github will accelerate work of a command and will simplify interaction. Integration is available free of charge to all users of paid versions of Wrike till February 1, 2017.
Approval of documents
On October 24, 2016 the Wrike company announced inclusion in the system of function of approval.
One of the main reasons of failure to meet time constraints of assigned tasks - the tightened approval of files and documents. The opacity of approvals, not systematized changes, numerous versions of files increase project duration. The Wrike company upgraded service of project management, having complemented it with approval function.
The last update allows to monitor approval progress, having created an evident task bar with sorting according to projects and responsible.
Users of Wrike can filter all tasks of the status "On Check", "Check Is Ended" and "There Are No Contractors" for control of progress on this or that project. In addition to the status, it is possible to select tasks which were sent for check to the specific user or to a certain term and also to browse ready responses on which corrections are already executed.
Users of Wrike can add any set of search criteria on the task bar always to see the relevant task list in this category. Timely receiving a feedback, it is simpler to users to execute projects in time.
Functions of setup of access and data protection
The Wrike company, the SaaS system developer for project management and team work, added new features for more flexible configuration of security policies to the companies. Now users of the version of Wrike Enterprise can set the minimum requirements to passwords of employees, in details register the rights of certain administrators and limit access to service by separate Ipadresami.
Password policy
Administrators will be able to set the minimum requirements to passwords of users in the corporate account, including complexity of the password, frequency of its replacement and prohibition on repeated application ever of the used password. This opportunity is especially useful to accounts where the technology of a uniform input is used (for example, SAML, Google or Azure), consider in the company.
Control over the administrator's rights
If in the account several administrators, it is possible to develop a set of actions for each of them. For example, to allow all administrators to manage accounts, but only some — to change global security policies and basic settings.
Policy of network access
As envisioned by developers, an opportunity to specify the specific permitted IP addresses or a subnet will help how to limit access to Wrike by certain places, and to control work with service from mobile devices. It is useful for the companies where strict rules on access to working information only from corporate network are applied.
Three new features will fill up already available set of security settings in Wrike Enterprise which includes support of a uniform input (SAML Single Sign On), multi-factor authorization, the choice of a method of the invitation of new users and an opportunity to define the permitted services for storage of files. It is possible to test new opportunities free of charge in trial version of Wrike Enterprise.
Wrike Professional
Wrike Professional — one of tariff plans of service which allows to work with an interactive time line, to create subtasks and task bars, to browse the diagram of loading and to keep account of the spent time and also to be integrated with a set of other working applications, including Outlook, Apple Mail, Excel, iCal and others. The cost of a subscription to Wrike Professional is $120 for the user in a year.
Since February, 2016 students will be able to receive Wrike Professional free of charge for groups up to 15 people. Students of universities and the MBA programs will be able to create tasks, to appoint responsible and to plan work on the project on a time line. Wrike also allows to edit jointly the text in real time, to add to tasks files, messages of discussion and to keep track of the status of readiness both in the web version, and using mobile applications. It will allow future professionals to develop initially modern and effective approach to the organization of workflows.
Earlier Wrike already supported such student's initiatives as designing of robots, development of racing cars on solar energy, participation in Google X Prize, engineering and entrepreneurial projects. Official the program will allow to make support of students from Wrike more system and mass.
Integration with Office 365
On February 17, 2016 the company Wrike announced integration with products Microsoft - Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Active Directory. According to the statement of the company, it will allow to create a powerful and convenient working environment Wrike and Microsoft.
Users of editions Wrike Professional and Enterprise will get access to the workers processes and Wrike tasks from the products Office 365 - need to load only Wrike from app store of Office 365.
The superstructure for Office 365 will help users:
- create new tasks in Wrike,
- add documents to the new or already existing tasks,
- change descriptions, contractors, the status and terms of tasks,
- browse and add comments on tasks,
- obtain more information and be aware of changes on the project, thanks to access to comments and the statuses of tasks in real time.
The upgraded interaction between systems will help with the organization of team work and to project planning in a uniform working space of the large companies. Employees will have a joint work opportunity over documents in Office 365 and coordination of actions according to the purposes and project tasks, workflow and a time line of Wrike.
Integration of products helps to provide transparent communication and to accelerate decision making process.
The tool for the organization of a flow of work requests
In May, 2016 the Wrike company added to the platform function — forms of requests. It allows to standardize process of receipt of tasks to the employees.
The employee or department in the company which faces a large number of requests from other divisions (designers, marketing, IT support, HR, etc.) creates a form and reflects in it requirements to submission of requests according to the workflows. All new requests are included in the folder appointed by the author in Wrike.
Information from the filled form is added to the description of a new task. In this task, as well as any other in Wrike, the contractor, the term, importance can be specified. It may contain the attached files and documents from the services integrated with a system. If necessary it is possible to discuss a new task directly in the same place.
Forms of requests allow to reduce delays in work and the volume of the accompanying correspondence, accelerate workflow.
Function is available to subscribers of Wrike Enterprise.
Wrike is synchronized with JIRA and vice versa
Practically in any company there are difficulties with communication of employees from different departments. Among basic reasons of such problems there is a different set of services and applications which commands use. The new possibility of service for project management of Wrike will allow to eliminate one of the most frequent gaps in communications — between developers and other employees.
Double-sided synchronization
The companies in which Wrike and JIRA is used can set double-sided synchronization between these services, thanks to the Unito platform. Such synchronization will help to change approach to maintaining projects in the company, will allow to receive to managers and other interested participants more transparent information on progress in work.
Scenarios for use of a linking of Wrike and JIRA can be much. For example, often the development team creates a product, corrects errors and makes changes at the request of other departments, using JIRA. Meanwhile, sales departments and marketing directly interact with users and receive a feedback which will allow to improve a product, and they work in Wrike. With synchronization of two systems marketing and sales will be able to send a feedback to developers from Wrike, and developers will have an opportunity to respond to the requests directly in JIRA.
2015: Wrike updated service for Android
On December 10 the Wrike company announced release of release of the application of the same name for Android. To users had an opportunity to deal quicker with a flow of incoming messages about tasks in the project.
Employees daily receive a set of notifications on progress in work, new tasks and other messages of different degree of relevance and urgency. It is necessary to answer some of them immediately, it is possible to return to others later, and many simply litter "Entering". On analysis leaves much working time, and besides the risk is high to pass something important, especially during the work from the mobile phone.
Wrike solved a problem Inbox function creation - the most relevant messages, the addresses to the employee and notifications on tasks, will always be at the top of the list. Notifications are presented in the form of cards from which the essence - without opening of the message is clear.
There was a function of the postponed notifications, it helps the user to specify when the notification should appear in the folder again.
