On February 11 RT-Inform announced replacement of OS Microsoft Windows on Linux in the company Rostec.
Project Task
According to the strategy of import substitution regarding information technologies of Rostec company, RT-Inform as the competence center of Rostec, carries out work on reduction of the sanctions risks connected with use of the foreign software.
Resolving import substitution issues in this sphere, the company proceeds from need of information security support, safety of data, cutting of costs for purchase of foreign licenses.
The pilot zone of the project on substitution of the software of Microsoft included Helicopters of Russia holding on which platform of RT-Inform deployed the stand modeling infrastructure of the enterprise on the Linux platform. The technologies tested there, in particular Astra Linux Special Edition, will become available afterwards to other enterprises of state corporation.
