AKTS the Classification system of cars on geometrical characteristics

• A system is operated on more than 300 bands of points of collection of a payment of highways of Russia by M1 Belarus, M4 Don and Western High-Speed Diameter of St. Petersburg
• Only serial video cameras, without laser scanners and optocouplers are used
• Video cameras are installed sideways from a roadbed, illumination is performed with the visible or infrared range
• 4 and more classes of tariffing differing with quantity of wheel axes, length and height of the car and also cowl height
• Classification of motorcycles
• The quality of classification confirmed for 2 years of operation – is not lower than 99.7% regardless of time of day, a season and weather conditions

AKTS-4  is developed for application on paid roads. The complex  solves problems of automatic classification of vehicles on points of collection of a payment. The main distinctive characteristic of AKTS-4 – classification accuracy - is higher than 99.7%. At the same time such average value of AKTS-4 shows under any weather, light and seasonal conditions.

AKTS-4 is implemented by Rutoll company and "The northern bypass of Odintsovo", M4 Don and "Western High-Speed Diameter" in St. Petersburg is operated on points of payment of federal roads M1. More than 200 bands on which AKTS-4 is set daily process nearly 500 thousand passing cars, steadily showing the high accuracy and reliability of recognition.

Development of AKTS-4 based on IPPI RAS was conducted by the Vizillekt Service LLC small innovation enterprise (SIE) founded by Institute for the purpose of commercialization of competences in computer vision and intelligent autonomous systems.
