SmartShelter is engineering modules in container execution "all in one".
SmartShelter is the set of the equipment necessary for deployment of DPC on remote objects, the operating industrial enterprises, other places where there are no buildings or premises which are specially intended for these purposes.

SmartShelter Data Hall
On July 8, 2016 the division of Schneider Electric company announced release of solutions of high readiness of SmartShelter Data Hall for the data processing centers (DPC). The solution is suitable for step-by-step deployment of 50-100 racks.
At the beginning of 2016 the Schneider Electric company announced the line of small-size solutions in an ISO containers - modules of high readiness SmartShelter. SmartShelter Data Hall is addition to SmartShelter line. This multibuilding block solution for fast accumulation of power of DPC, adding to it from 50 also is more resistant.
Such approach simplifies initial development, installation on site of operation and complements the solution for DPCs, more predictable regarding costs and performance in comparison with construction with traditional methods.
SmartShelter Data Hall consists of a number of ready modules dimensions of 3.2 m x 13.7 m equipped with racks, the system of distribution of power supply, the precision cooling system and managements of air flows, fire protection systems, access control and monitoring of the environment.
Control and management of engineering infrastructure is executed by means of the software package DCIM StruxureWare from Schneider Electric. Modules are collected, equipped with infrastructure components, tested as the complete solution at the Schneider Electric plant. After check modules are separated and go separately to the place of installation that simplifies installation process in technology frame buildings or on the concrete base.

Schneider Electric offers two basic SmartShelter Data Hall configurations:
- with indirect air cooling by means of the economizer,
- with cooling by means of cooled water.
Both systems contain about 100 racks with a total power of 500 kW. Are individually reconfigured for obtaining compliance to requirements of a certain project and a configuration.
Schneider Electric expanded a line of solutions of high factory readiness with open power module of 1 MW for operational deployment of the power centers (Power Skids) allowing to expand quickly the power of large DPCs.
Power Skids supplement the existing closed 250 and 500 kW power modules, providing the complete range of ready-made solutions of power supply for DPC of any size or installation type.
Features of implementation of SmartShelter Data Hall and 1 MW Power Skid:
- deployment of IT infrastructure on a request or without it with the minimum capital investments in construction of the specialized premises / building;
- the simplified installation process and minimization of construction works;
- predictable costs for installation, operation and performance;
- the increased reliability by means of standardization and factory tests;
- fast accumulation of power predictable actions.
SmartShelter
On February 15, 2016 the Schneider Electric company provided innovation in a product line for data processing centers - the engineering modules SmartShelter.
As a part of SmartShelter Container complete physical infrastructure of DPC. At the same time, all components are made, collected, tested industrially and placed in the body of a format of a standard cargo ISO container, thus, representing highly effective option of a ready data processing center.
At the heart of the solution simplicity and minimum time of installation, scalability and high level of adaptation to requirements of the customer.
The lineup of the modules SmartShelter is provided by five basic options of execution:
- The 16 and 32 kW 20-foot containers can be completed with 4-5 IT racks of APC NetShelter on 4 or 8 kW, the ceiling system of direct vaporizing cooling and the Galaxy or Symmetra PX UPS;
- The 40-foot modules All in One with a power of 50 and 90 kW, equipment - 12 IT racks on 4 or 6.4 kW, the ceiling system of direct vaporizing cooling and the Galaxy or Symmetra PX UPS;
- the basic configuration of the IT module in the 40-foot body (without UPS), power is 120 kW. 14 racks on 8.5 kW and a water cooling system of APC InRow are compactly placed.
The complex modules SmartShelter are optimized for use with the software of DCIM StruxureWare (software of infrastructure management of DPC). Software supports control in real time, the reports and diagrams, instant messages on abnormal events determined by the user in infrastructure and their escalation on higher levels.
