On February 18, 2016 the Datum Group company announced the project of creation of the GIS tools for workers of the sector in department of agro-industrial complex of the Kurgan region.
Project Tasks
Problem of the sector – control of trade production of fish. The department keeps account of reservoirs of area in which there is a catching for sale. Specialists control information:
- about species of fish in reservoirs,
- about the entrepreneurs conducting fishing of fishes commercially in this territory
- about fishery activity - that it happened only in the presence of the license.
Project Results
The specialists of Datum Group who implemented in 2014 a geographic information system in department of HSC of the Kurgan region created tools for workers of the sector which allows to see all data on commercial production of fish in the mode of one window.
Cartographers of the company created a special layer for GIS which helps to observe reservoirs on the map of the area. The layer in the Google Maps used for office needs of the sector in connection with political constraints on use of Google services in public institutions was unacceptable for work. All staff of department uses one platform for daily monitoring of a situation in the region and quick search of necessary information.
