TC7718FTG is the integrated circuit of the transmitter for wireless energy transmission.

On February 24, 2016 the Toshiba Electronics Europe company provided the IC of the compact transmitter for wireless energy transmission with a transmission power of 15 W. In combination with the central microcontroller, the IC TC7718FTG allows to implement the system of wireless energy transmission conforming to the Qi standard of version 1.21 of Consortium of wireless energy (WPC).

TC7718FTG is issued using the most modern production technology of CD-0.13 semiconductor devices developed by Toshiba company and combines high efficiency with the compact sizes of the body. It simplifies configuration of systems and allows to create charging devices occupying a space minimum. A system with the 15 W wireless transmitter on the basis of the IC will allow to charge quickly devices — speed will be comparable with wire charging or even above.

The IC is suitable for creation of stations of charging of mobile phones and tablets. High power of the device (15 W) expands scope of wireless charging on industrial equipment and other more powerful devices for which more energy or more long charging in comparison with household can be required.

The systems of wireless energy transmission on the basis of the new IC will allow designers to create the stations of charging conforming to the Qi standard of version 1.2 with a power of transferred energy up to 15 W. The Toshiba TC7764WBG receiver can transfer energy with power up to 5 W while the power of Toshiba TC7765WBG can reach 10 W. Both devices in mass production.

The IC of the transmitter Toshiba on the basis of electromagnetic induction contains the bridge driver of a lock, the LDO regulator with voltage output of 3.3 V, the low-frequency filter for signal recovery with amplitude manipulation. TC7718FTG is delivered in the compact P-VQFN36 body and allows input voltages from 4.5 to 25 V. Operating frequency is from 110 to 205 kHz.

The beginning of serial production is planned for spring of 2016.
