Severneftegazprom was increased by performance of applications using Riverbed SteelHead CX

The companies "Severneftegazprom" and "Jet Infosystems" completed the project on creation of a system of optimization and acceleration of WAN networks of mining company based on the solution Riverbed SteelHead. As a result volumes of transmitted data between branches are reduced, work with key information systems is optimized, and the response of applications and time of carrying out business operations improved on average for 50%.

Not centralized IT system of Severneftegazprom at the time of implementation included four branches. Narrow trunk data transmission channels between offices had low capacity that reduced employees productivity and speed of work of business applications. With respect thereto set the tasks of consolidation of IT infrastructure of branches, acceleration of work of business applications and optimization of network transmission capacity for IT department of the organization.

For solving of tasks of Severneftegazprom the product Riverbed SteelHead CX on set of technical and economic characteristics, including thanks to opportunities of the solution on its rapid implementation and intuitive management was selected, noted in the company.

Experts of Jet Infosystems company began works on system implementation of optimization of WAN traffic and acceleration of operation of applications with testing of the equipment on one of the most loaded channels of the enterprise. It allowed to estimate effect of use of the solution on specific network and applications and also to optimize its characteristics taking into account features of network of the company, type and volumes of the transferred traffic already on initial stages of implementation.
