"The national platform of open education" places in a cloud of CROC the platform for online courses

The "National Platform of Open Education" (NPOE) non-profit organization created in April, 2015 by eight leading Russian universities: Lomonosov Moscow State University SPbSU NITU "MISIS" HIGHER SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS NATIONAL RESEARCH UNIVERSITY MIPT, URFA and the University ITMO, places in a cloud CROC the platform for online courses. The purpose which is set before itself by NPOO — to increase quality and availability of the higher education across all Russia. Today the platform is used by more than 80000 students, teachers, graduate students of universities and also the individuals wishing to gain knowledge and to undergo certification for natural-science and humanitarian disciplines.

"The national platform of open education" are online courses in the different directions: mathematical and natural sciences, engineering, technologies and technical science, health care and medical sciences, etc. Any person without restrictions can be trained: free of charge and without formal requirements to basic level of education. At successful passing an examination the certificates of leading universities of the country testimonial of assimilation of modules of the program of a bachelor degree are provided. For the students studying in universities there is an opportunity perezachest results of mastering of an online course instead of examination or offset.

The platform of mass rates is development of NPOO, it is created using the open source software. The choice of cloud infrastructure for placement of the platform is caused by complexity of forecasting of load of it and desire of the customer to remove from itself questions of administration of computing infrastructure. Besides, the cloud of CROC gives to NPOO an opportunity to adapt quickly to the becoming complicated tasks: support of bigger number of users and increase in quantity of objects.
