In the spring of 2016 the EMC company announced "architecture of NFV of an operator class" — EMC Provider Cloud System (PCS). The solution is directed as to large, and small service providers and should allow them "quickly and cost-efficient provide the distributed multi-service cloud solutions of an operator class".
According to the official press release of EMC, "Provider Cloud System provides availability and reliability of an operator class, programmability, provides the automation equipment and the predictive analysis for providing modern requirements to workloads. PCS consists of the NFVi level, services of security and work with data and also the level of management and orchestration (MANO). The NFVi level can be scaled from one host before large distributed environment. At the expense of the level of management and orchestration which allows to achieve availability of 99.9999% the solution it is possible to call carrier-grade".
