NFVI (Network Functions Virtualization Infrastructure) - the technological solution integrates a virtual and physical environment, providing necessary infrastructure - computing, network, storages for execution of NFVI services.

NFVI supplements the solution of virtualization Cisco Virtualized Packet Core (VPC, implements network functions as the virtualized services). In this single solution services for a package core of mobile networks 4G, 3G, 2G, Wi-fi and small cells are joint.

NFVI properties

Use of Cisco NFV Infrastructure

  • Increase in efficiency of transactions. Risk mitigation of interruption of service thanks to reduction of duration and increase in controllability of service windows.
  • Increase in information security. Strengthening of security for vulnerabilities of OpenStack and Linux.
  • The architecture recommended, passed test accelerates delivery of services thanks to reduction of an implementation time of a system up to three weeks. Design and implementation take place under the direction of service division of Cisco Advanced Services.
  • The simplified technical support. Cisco will serve as a uniform contact point for support of customers, including for problem solving on such software of third parties as Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform.
