On April 17, 2017, Technoserv announced the completion of the next stage of modernization of the telephone network of the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant (NLMK).

As part of the modernization project, Technoserv implemented the introduction of telephony technology, combining classical and VoIP technologies, and modernized the unified communications system for the NLMK Group. The upgrade of the telephone network and the creation of a unified communications system are carried out on the Avaya software and hardware platform.

This stage of the project was implemented at the NLMK representative office in Moscow.

To ensure the maximum efficiency of our specialists, attention and quality, which our customers and partners expect, it is necessary to create appropriate working conditions. In the summer of 2016, we consolidated our Moscow offices into a single representative office on the street. Bolshaya Ordynka. Quality communication is essential for the successful functioning of the office. Having completed the modernization of the NLMK network in Moscow, we raised to another technological level the interaction between the company's structures in different cities. The Moscow office of NLMK is equipped with modern telephony and is integrated into the unified communications system of the entire NLMK Group.

Within the framework of the project Technoserv specialists performed installation of telecommunication equipment, installation of PBX with capacity of 300 subscriber ports, system redundancy, integration of the created solution with the existing PBX of the mill.

During the project, a videoconferencing system was introduced and merged into a single software and hardware complex with the main NLMK platform in Lipetsk:

  • installation of server equipment,
  • equipping the meeting rooms with video terminals.

The Moscow office of NLMK has integrated telephony with the corporate system Skype for Business.

The integrator worked to deploy the DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication) system and the Wi-Fi wireless data network.

Technoserv was tasked: in 6 months to implement a full range of work on creating telephony and building a unified communications system for the new Moscow representative office of NLMK. The main task of the project is to organize modern, economical and most comfortable communication for employees of the enterprise in all regions using various types of communication channels and technologies. As a result, the customer received convenient and reliable telephony, which is at the forefront of modern communication technologies.

2016: Technoserv introduces unified communications system at Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant

In March 2016, Technoserv announced the completion of the first stage of modernization of the telephone network of the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant - the main site of the NLMK Group, an international steel company with production assets in Russia, the USA and the EU countries.

As part of the project, Technoserv will introduce a modern solution in the field of telephony, combining classical and VoIP technologies, and modernize the unified communications system for NLMK. The upgrade of the telephone network and the construction of the unified communications system are implemented on the basis of the Avaya hardware and software complex.

The solution introduced will allow mill users to communicate with each other in real time using various types of communication channels and technologies: instant messaging, video and voice. In addition, the company will be able to:

  • Fully switch to IP telephony
  • save on long-distance and international negotiations;
  • Increase reliability of communication networks up to 99.999%;
  • Minimize maintenance costs
  • Minimize equipment downtime through backup sites and load balancing.

"The introduction of the unified communications system is a modern solution to the issue of communication for the enterprise, both from the point of view of reliability, efficiency, scalability, and the ability to support new communication capabilities that stimulate increased profitability of the business," says Dmitry Rychkov, Director of the Industrial Operations Department of Technoserv. - The project has become really large and includes switching to the new PBX about 13,500 NLMK subscribers, which is commensurate with the population of a small city of Russia. In addition, we have already carried out complex integration work, as a result of which the customer received more convenient and reliable telephony, which is at the forefront of modern communication technologies. "

At the first stage, integrator specialists conducted an audit of the existing system and identified the needs of the customer. The work included creating a general description of the existing system, analyzing the call routing plan, fixing the settings of system and user functions, etc. Works were carried out on installation of new equipment and modernization of the existing PBX mill, including installation and configuration of new system software, creation of a new PBX subscriber base. Currently, integrator engineers have installed a PBX with a capacity of 1650 subscriber ports, made full system redundancy, as well as switching 1300 company subscribers to a new PBX.

In addition, Technoserv integrated Avaya telephony with the corporate Skype for Business system (until the spring of 2015 - Microsoft Lync), which provided the opportunity for NLMK subscribers to contact users of the system. The Address Book application has been implemented on the new communication system and integrated with the Active Directory corporate directory. This provided a new opportunity for mill employees with a telephone with a graphic display to see photos of the caller and other information available about him.

In the future, Technoserv specialists will introduce a new Avaya video conferencing system. A state-of-the-art dispatch phone recording system and mobile phone and tablet application will also be introduced, which will extend the corporate communication capabilities available on desktops and landlines to them.
