2018: Start of Private Link Access Service (PLAS) service
On October 22, 2018 the companies T-Systems also Huawei announced start of Private Link Access Service (PLAS) service.
As developers noted, PLAS is a service of access to private channel for the enterprises in a cloud of Open Telekom Cloud (OTC). PLAS will allow users of OTC to use the selected and undivided connection between a local network and a virtual private cloud (VPC) on a public cloud platform. PLAS allows network connection of the 2nd and 3rd level between OTC and any network provider connected to OTC. PLAS connection will be set between network of the supplier of network services and the Direct Connect (PLGW) firewall that reduces a delay and ensures stabler and safe network functioning in comparison with Internet connection. 2016: Start of Open Telekom Cloud service
The Deutsche Telekom company announced in March, 2016 start of Open Telekom Cloud service. This open cloud platform available to the European enterprises of any scale provides access on demand and payment on the basis of the actual use. The Huawei company was selected from quality of the supplier of hardware and software solutions for new service.
Open Telekom Cloud is the cloud service based on the OpenStack platform created on the basis of the principle "Infrastructure as service". Service is executed based on developments of Huawei and is under control of T-Systems company, strategic division of Deutsche Telekom group on work with legal entities. The solution provides quick access to flexible and reliable services in the field of calculations, data storage, network components and to other services.
The Open Telekom Cloud service allows the companies to issue the order for IT infrastructure and software solutions in the Central portal of armoring only for several clicks thanks to what necessary resources are provided within read minutes. Using such concept, Deutsche Telekom helps the clients to digitize their business models, rendering simple, flexible and scalable services for any industry and the organizations of any scale.
SAP – one of the first users and service providers of Open Cloud Telekom. For Open Cloud Telekom the T-Systems company provides necessary services of infrastructure for the most often used SAP applications and also technologies of the analysis SAP HANA. These services are available to any types of "cloud" storages, both state, and private.
Open Cloud Telekom will be created in the European data center which is located in the city of Bira (State of Saxony-Ankhalt). It means that any information processed in the center will be protected according to the German law on data protection. By the end of 2018 of Deutsche Telekom is going to double the income from "cloud" services for business clients. Last financial year income of T-Systems from "cloud" services considerably increased that is caused by the increasing reliability of private cloud solutions.
