The Trinity company, system integrator on development of difficult high-tech solutions, successfully implemented the large-scale project on consolidation of information resources in Scandinavia clinic on the basis of information infrastructure of IBM.
IT infrastructure of Scandinavia clinic is constructed using means of virtualization, is capable to be scaled easily on demand and allows to change dynamically depending on requirements of business. The network under the FC protocol integrates servers and data storage devices, the staff of clinic provides terminal access to MIS (medical information system), and the safety of data is ensured by politicians of backup. For storage of medical data archiving on the selected storage system is executed.
During solution integration in infrastructure of medical institution perspectives of further development of network of clinics and the growing need for growth of capacities were considered.
At the first stage of consolidation of information resources the company purchased storage system of IBM. Afterwards there transferred all data for the available applications. It allowed to make creation of the storage area network on the basis of the protocol of access of FC and providing IBM DS5100 storage system to servers of resources. Tape library IBM TS3200 provided data backup.
At the second stage of implementation of infrastructure changes specialists of Trinity made testing of the environment of virtualization, is installed and the equipment for a virtualization cluster based on Microsoft Hyper-V and storage system of IBM Storwize v7000 is debugged. The MIS database and critical applications were transferred to SSD disks. It gave an opportunity to achieve the guaranteed response time.
Also within implementation of changes expansion of capacity of storage systems was carried out: for this IBM DS5100 translated under a problem of archiving of medical these PACS systems (storage and exchange of the medical graphic information).
The solution allowed to consolidate information resources of large clinic, to considerably accelerate processes of interaction with data, to ensure safety of information and fault tolerance of a system.
"Process of consolidation of information resources in Scandinavia clinic was carried out step by step. At the moment business infrastructure of organization, including service of MIS and the PACS system is completely transferred to the new IT solution. In general the project can be considered implemented successfully: the problems of the enterprise connected with the shortage of disk space and ensuring fault tolerance were successfully solved by specialists of Trinity", - the deputy CEO for IT of AVA-PETER LLC (the Russian-Finnish clinics "Scandinavia" and "AVA-PETER"), PhD in Technological Sciences Vadim Borisov comments on start.
