On January 20, 2015, Esri CIS announced the completion of work and the commissioning of the geoportal of the Tyumen region - gis.72to.ru, which is based on the specialized GIS platform of Esri - ArcGIS.
Project Summary
The geoportal of the Tyumen region is a set of cartographic services that allow users to gain access to regional spatial data stored in the information systems of the executive bodies of state power of the Tyumen region.
Reliable and up-to-date information on spatial objects in the Tyumen region is available on the geoportal; here are presented thematic maps that will be of interest to investors, organizations, tourists and all residents of the Tyumen region and other regions.
Within the geoportal, a modern way of providing spatial data as separate thematic maps has been implemented. Maps and information layers are available on many topics:
- infrastructure;
- investments (information on available land plots, as well as the nearest points of connection of gas, water, electricity);
- informatization (free Internet access points; cellular coverage, etc.);
- construction and transport;
- subsoil use;
- hunting grounds;
- forest complex and ecology.
Visitors to the portal have the opportunity to choose a pre-configured or form their own convenient thematic presentation. Through the geoportal toolkit and search engine, experienced users can assemble their own version of the map based on published layers.
The geoportal and all thematic applications were created without the use of programming tools, but only with the help of ready-made components and the ArcGIS platform designer (Portal for ArcGIS and the WebAppBuilder module included in it). At the same time, all data are received in an automated mode from the systems of executive bodies of state power responsible for their updating. Integration of systems with geoportal was performed by Sibgeoproekt.
