As instruments of virtualization preference was given to the VMware platform and hardware base of division S7 IT. Together with growth of use of the equipment at the expense of the increased placement density, the customer managed to go from considerable investments to "iron".

In 6 months 99% of systems were virtualized! In some large companies process of virtualization lasts for years and under it open the whole departments.

In 2014 the surge in sales of tickets during a summer season increased load of the equipment of 10–15% that "squandered" a response of the websites. The company considered vital to support a certain level regarding system operation speed. By words Egor Bayandina, it is twice difficult - when at peak load it is necessary to add several tens of main cores and couple of tens memory terabyte.

All this led to a migration project startup on more flexible platform. The company made the decision to try the clouds which had "children's sores".

Project Progress

The company moved a part of IT resources of the sector of sales to a cloud of IT-Grad company.

Project Results

The customer about a year uses an IaaS-cloud of IT-Grad in daily work with clients.

Now in a cloud environment about 1% of prodakshen-loadings works. The rest is given for developments and testing of new services or changes. Yes, the share of 1% does not seem big, but you should not forget also about the size of all infrastructure, on its background it not so is not enough. Besides, such distribution with success solves processing of peak loads during a season of sales and allows to experiment with systems without load of working copies of applications. As for work "in a tandem", nothing of that kind was necessary to do — we just separated the DPC and a cloud at the level of specific information systems. So service or is entirely moved to a cloud, or works in DPC of S7 IT.
