Gorky Park unrolled a wireless network of Internet access in the territory

On March 22, 2016 the Zebra Technologies company announced system implementation of wireless communication of WiNG Express in Gorky Park.

Project Task

Implementation was planned for creation of a possibility of simultaneous connection to the Internet at a high speed of thousands of visitors of the park.

Project Progress

The OM-ID company unrolled WiNG Express infrastructure, configured work of mobile access points in different places of a parterre part of the park.

The distributed architecture of WiNG prevents vulnerabilities and breaks of communication that allows guests to use Wi-Fi of a corporate class at almost unlimited speed by means of the channels working at frequency of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.

WiNG consists of the controller and access points of AP6562. A system is mounted in a park zone and premises – the cafe and restaurants located in the territory of a parterre part of the park. Uninterrupted connection to network in all territory of Gorky Park is provided. Core of network - the wireless controller which is capable to provide functioning of thousands of mobile access points.

The firewall, IPSec the VPN gateway, authentication on the basis of MAC, wireless protection against the attacks and many other things are built in the wireless controller and access points.

Project Results

Infrastructure of Wi-fi succeeded previous which did not cope with needs of the visitors who are actively using the devices in a parterre part of the park. The wireless network provides safe, reliable, seamless connection in the territory of 68.9 hectares.

Gorky Park – one of the most popular vacation spots of the Russian capital. Recently in the Park the wireless network built based on the equipment Zebra Technologies was set. Start of a wireless Wi-fi segment of network was performed by OM-ID company integrator. Now the network allows to provide to our guests service at the level of the international standards, providing reliable high-speed Internet access.
