2017: Migration on Solar Dozor 6

On September 27, 2017 the Solar Security company announced ensuring successful migration of Federal Passenger Company (FPC) with Solar Dozor 5.0 on the latest version of the DLP solution. The Jet Infosystems company acted as the partner in the project.

Prerequisites of the Project

FPC is child structure of JSC RZD and performs passenger traffic across all territory of Russia. The field of activity of the organization means special attention to questions of information security therefore Federal Passenger Company actively implements technical means of protection against external and internal threats.

Choosing a Solution

The company responsibly treats confidential information protection and, in particular, personal data of passengers. For protection against the risks connected with possible actions of internal violators, FPC selected Solar Dozor 5.

Migration reasons

With an exit of the next version the decision on migration as Solar Dozor 6 combines the classical DLP technologies providing protection against information leaks with the innovation analytical tools which allow to detect signs of the activities doing economic and reputation harm to the company at an early stage was made.

2016: System implementation of control and monitoring of cybersecurity

On March 22, 2016 Federal Passenger Company (FPC) and Jet Infosystems announced creation of an end-to-end system of control and monitoring of cybersecurity on the platform of a system of analytics Solar inView of Solar Security company.

Project Progress

Experts of Jet Infosystems company analyzed processes of providing and management of cybersecurity, the operating data sources, selected the most critical and often used, defined methods of extraction of data.

Advertizing of Federal Passenger Company (2015)

According to the results of inspection upgrade of a complex on protection against information leaks is executed - the additional functionality of control of information objects allowing to describe more precisely in policy subjects to search (documents, texts) is connected, reducing a total quantity of false operations. The upgraded complex helps to control messages of employees on channels:

  • corporate mail,
  • web mail,
  • social networks,
  • forums,
  • messengers,
  • cloud storages of data,
  • the files placed on the general local file resources.

The scope of a DLP system is expanded from 1.5 thousand to 3 thousand user workstations.

For the system of visualization, raznourovnevy analytics and monitoring of efficiency of cybersecurity of Solar inView data from sources in terms of a format, opportunities for conversion and connectivity with each other were analyzed. It helped to develop a set of high-level performance indicators.

For each of the connected systems the filter set for creation of different types of the reports displayed in the form of intuitive charts, histograms, diagrams and tables, with a possibility of detailing on each object to the necessary level is created (the number of levels is not limited).

Project Results

Several data sources are connected to Solar inView:

The held events helped cybersecurity service to estimate quickly a cybersecurity condition, to define the reasons of incidents in real time, to control dynamics of changes in the system of protection. Terms of identification, reaction and elimination of incidents were reduced from several days till several o'clock.

Different scenarios of data analysis: from statistical tracking of trends, identification of correlations, check of hypotheses, etc. to the analysis like "that, if..." and multidimensional interactive data analysis "deep into" – allow us to estimate objectively how implemented security measures conform to requirements of business. We can not only reveal bottlenecks, find the reasons of their emergence and eliminate, but also plan development of a system of providing Information Security in the long-term and short term.
