Asteros and Polycom created a multimedia complex for negotiation space of the SIBUR

The Asteros group and Polycom corporation announced in March, 2016 project completion on creation of a system of a video conferencing for petrochemical company SIBUR. At the customer will unroll the complex consisting of 17 meeting rooms. Besides, within the project one of the Russia's first system implementations of telepresence of Polycom RealPresence OTX with effect of "immersion" for meetings of any type is implemented.

The SIBUR wins first place in Russia on volumes of processing of associated petroleum gas and is the leading company of the Russian petrochemical industry. Total number of employees of group the SIBUR is over 25,000 people. 26 production sites are a part of group. Comprehensive improvement of communication quality between the enterprises of the SIBUR is one of priority tasks facing today the IT block of the company. Against the background of implementation of large investment projects and also growth of activity of business in general, equipment of the corporate center of the company the advanced digital equipment for negotiations became a natural stage of development of IT infrastructure.

Works on equipment of halls of meetings, meeting rooms and technology premises as the presentation, sound and video hardware were performed by the Asteros group which has examination in the field of creation of multimedia complexes and also is the only company in Russia having specialization in implementation and support of the systems of telepresence from Polycom. The RealPresence Collaboration Server 4000 platform which implementation was entrusted Delta Telecom company became a core of a system of a video conferencing. The corporate center of the SIBUR in Moscow is equipped with separate congress halls, averages and small meeting rooms, an educational class — only 17 premises. Creation of two conference rooms based on the solution Polycom RealPresence OTX — the system of telepresence with "effect of immersion" became the main feature of the project that allowed to create in negotiation the atmosphere the most similar to a "live" meeting face to face. Besides, within the project specialists equipped about 70-80% of computers of employees the SIBUR with the client of the joint communications of Skype for Business compatible to all of the solution of a video conferencing of Polycom. It allowed an office personnel which activity is connected with cross-communications, to increase efficiency of interaction, having received the effective tool for discussion of all-corporate projects and adoption of joint solutions.
