Rostelecom will connect to the Internet corrective labor colonies in Ivdel and East

In April, 2016 it was announced that Rostelecom will for the first time provide Internet access for correctional facilities of "The Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service across Sverdlovsk region" (GUFSIN) – colony settlement No. 45 in the settlement East and "The center of medical and social rehabilitation in Ivdel. To institutions access to Network on modern Internet technologies, including GPON will be organized.

The leading Internet service provider acquired the right to communication provision of services according to the results of the held auction of the open auction announced by Russian Federal Penitentiary Service across Sverdlovsk region. This contract is continuation of long-term cooperation of telecommunications agency and a state institution. The address list which Rostelecom not the first year provides the Internet includes over 15 GUFSIN correctional facilities across Sverdlovsk region in the cities of Kamyshlov, Kirovgrad, Tavda, the settlements of Azanka and Sosva.

To organize Internet access in East Rostelecom should construct several kilometers of fiber lines of communication from central node to corrective labor colony and to organize internal network in organization. At the request of the customer the Internet will be provided with a speed up to 6 Mbit/sec. of 24 hours a day seven days a week. Rostelecom will also provide the round-the-clock watch of technical support service.
