VMware Boxer is a mobile e-mail client with corporate options, as a part of VMware AirWatch line.
On April 6, 2016 the VMware company announced product output of VMware Boxer as a part of which the functions inherent to the corporate software - the calendar work, contacts and t.p[1].
Some opportunities of VMware Boxer
- Package actions - the user selects several letters at once and to some "tapas" (contact of the screen) performs function (to delete, archive or deliver a flag).
- Access to the calendar - allows to send time in which the user is available to a meeting, using several "tops".
- The offered folders - Boxer collects information on to what folders letters move and on the basis of it builds them in the list.
- The possibility of customization - can configure notifications, gestures, time for canceling of sending the letter and others.
In terms of security VMware Boxer gives to the companies opportunities:
- Flexible possibility of deployment - the solution can be deployed both at itself in infrastructure, and in hybrid option with cloud infrastructure of AirWatch. The application is compatible to Microsoft Office 365.
- Enciphering of all data key 256 bits long.
- The IT service of the enterprise can perform automatically or manually operations for online and offline of devices for blocking of Boxer or removal of corporate data based on different the politician (for example, it is possible to prohibit the cracked devices or outdated OS).
- The application can be unrolled as the managed container AirWatch Container or Workspace ONE that allows to differentiate use personal and corporate environments on devices of users.
- The policy of Data leakage protection (DLP) - prevention of date leak. Allows shutdown of opportunities of opening of the enclosed letters in not entrusted applications. It is also possible to disconnect copy/paste for texts of letters and links.
For April 6, 2016 VMware Boxer is available to clients of AirWatch and Workspace ONE on the IOS platform.
