SUN Studio Pro implemented management tools production

On April 6, 2016 the Armex company announced automation of work of SUN Studio Pro printing house. Technology in the project - "1C: Large-format printing 8"^[1].

Project Tasks

To provide high company competitiveness in the capital market, the management of SUN Studio Pro equipped the Moscow branch with a printing equipment.

The decision on complex automation of the main business processes became the next step for achievement of the goal, since calculation of order cost and finishing with shipment of finished goods. It was required to provide fast processing of the entering orders and exact calculation of planned and actual cost, to organize operational accounting of materials in a warehouse, in production, to strengthen control over all stages of production process and to increase efficiency of execution of production orders.

For creation of a system selected the solution "1C: Large-format printing 8". The Armex company became the partner in the project of automation.

Project Results

• Processing of the entering orders which includes calculation of cost of all prepressovy, printing and post-printing transactions, and also calculation of quantity and material cost became simpler and accelerated.
• Calculation of the majority of standard orders is executed now automatically on the basis of the templates configured in a system.
• Probability of emergence of errors in calculations is excluded.
• Time spent by managers for order processing was reduced by 3 times, Orders are transferred to production quicker.
• Control over the implementation of orders at each stage of a production cycle is organized. In a system the status of accomplishment of each order at its passing on a production chain is quickly displayed. It helps the management to control accomplishment of orders and to timely prevent failures in shipments. As a result the company could guarantee accomplishment of orders of buyers just in time.
• Operational accounting of raw materials and materials in a warehouse is organized. There was a possibility of reservation of materials under specific orders. It helps managers to create timely supplier orders taking into account the current remaining balance and requirements of production services. Reserves of materials in a warehouse do not exceed reserves, necessary for the company, now.
• There was an opportunity most authentically to calculate direct costs of production of each order. Errors when calculating planned and actual cost of products are almost excluded. This information provided a possibility of operating control of costs and helped to achieve their general decrease by 12%. As a result the company could offer the clients more competitive prices of products.
• Maintaining the customer base is automated. Now in the online mode the complete information about the customer - his contacts, the history of orders, the accompanying information is available to managers. It helps to create quickly advantageous offers for regular customers and to develop effective marketing programs for involvement of new clients.
• The company management quickly obtains data on efficiency of each manager, this information then is considered at salary accrual.
• A system works at the client-server platform. All calculations are executed on the server.

System "1C: Large-format printing 8" helped us to achieve good results for business. Terms of accomplishment of orders were reduced, there was an opportunity to trace stages of their accomplishment, to effectively plan purchases of materials (quantity and the range), to analyze the history of work with customers. The management obtained reliable data about efficiency of each manager which then are considered at salary accrual. Project Results: the quantity of errors in document flow and at accomplishment of orders was significantly reduced also this most important.
