"Tape" optimized processes of the analysis and reporting using Business Intelligence technologies

2018: QlikView implementation

On August 1, 2018 the CORUS Consulting company announced implementation in retail network "Lenta" of the analytical solution allowing to work quickly with the large volume of data of the retailer at higher level.

In the company reports on the basis of the data warehouse are used long ago, however these reports represent static unloadings in the MS Excel format and often require manual completions that significantly slows down processes of the analysis and development managerial solutions. To accelerate process of collecting of the reporting and to make reports the most interactive, the department of financial controlling of Tape made the decision on implementation of an information system for the analysis and visualization of numerical indicators on sales, management of finance, efficiency and network performance.

As a technology platform the solution QlikView as the most precisely meeting the requirements of the retailer for speed of the provided reports and convenience of data visualization was selected. Project implementation on system implementation was entrusted CORUS Consulting Group.

On start of the project the working group selected five data domains, data from which should be provided in reports and the QlikView dashboards. The created rule which users there were already about 700 employees of the retailer allows to obtain quickly information on commercial results of network on separate articles of the profit and loss statement, sales (in rubles and in physical units), accomplishment of planned targets on cost types, productivity of personnel.

In addition the BI solution allows to analyze the factors influencing sales (the number of buyers, a margin, goods availability in shop, the missed sales, etc.) and results of promotion actions. The tool is intended for data analysis about the level of execution of orders by suppliers and distribution centers, the level of goods availability and the missed sales, a stock of goods for sale. He is also capable to give quality standard of goods in terms of insufficiency/redundancy and liquidity.

The BI solution already works in the company. Users note completeness of information which is provided by a system, and the accuracy of the obtained data. A system is integrated with the data warehouse based on SAP Business Warehouse.

2016: Connection to the Unified State Automated Information System

In the spring of 2016 Tape, one of the largest retail networks in Russia, passed to the specialized solution of Corus Consulting for integration of the ERP system with the single Unified State Automated Information System state system on alcohol accounting.

In 2015 Corus Consulting developed the specialized software solution for the Russian retailers and distributors which are engaged in sale of alcoholic beverages allowing to integrate the ERP system of the organization with the Unified State Automated Information System (the uniform state automated system) intended for the state control of production volume and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcoholic and alcohol-containing products.

CORUS Consulting created the test system emulating interaction of SAP ERP of the company with the Unified State Automated Information System. The retail network "Lenta" became one of the first users of a new solution.
