DiHouse completed upgrade of a system of transport logistics

On April 18, 2016 the Oracle company announced creation of a system of transport logistics on the platform of a management system for logistic processes of Oracle Transportation Management in diHouse company.

Project Tasks

By drawing up routes manually, by means of tables of Excel, the diHouse company faced numerous problems, restrictions and difficulties:

• errors when forming route sheets for carriers,
• transportation planning processes,
• shipping requests
• sending by e-mail to carrier,
• daily registers and route sheets were filled out manually,
• manually reports on key indicators of efficiency prepared.

Project Results

Creation and system implementation on the basis of Oracle Transportation Management helped the company to receive tools for business growth support. Information became transparent, available to the reconciliation/analysis at any stage of logistic business process, planning process is much more accelerated and simplified.

On the basis of rules of compatibility, weight and dimensional characteristics of goods items a system automatically creates to a pallet, plans orders in routes, taking into account type of the vehicle, cost and availability at a certain carrier, selects the most suitable rate and calculates the route cost. The product can plan thousands of orders and has instruments of further scaling.

For April 18, 2016 by Oracle Transportation Management it is integrated with 1C ERP which, in turn, interacts with the WMS systems Molk and Hybris. A common information space for work with data on orders, the nomenclature, clients, delivery addresses and carriers is created.

Thanks to Oracle Transportation Management primary planning takes less than 15 minutes now, at the same time there are no restrictions on the number of delivery notes, errors with delivery addresses are excluded. The efficiency considerably grew that directly affects cost reduction. Besides, the quality of vendor interaction and clients significantly increased, the foundation for further business development is laid.
