History
2018: Purchase of Real-Time Systems
The congatec company — the supplier of the standard and user built-in computer payments, modules and the software — announced on February 27, 2018 acquisition of the German company Real-Time Systems GmbH. The RTS company will become child structure of congatec and will continue to work independently, doing the business, as before, providing hypervisor software for work on any equipment of architecture x86, but now with world sales departments and technical support from congatec. 2017: The road map of implementation of 10 GbE in different industrial environments
The congatec company, the developer of the built-in computer modules, single board computers, the built-in systems, submitted on September 6, 2017 the expanded road map which is developed for the purpose of implementation of a ten-gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) to the most different industrial spheres.
The card is specially developed in order that the system engineers working in the field of the built-in electronics could develop independently the nodes in a small form factor and with a low power only 25 W. For this purpose congatec opens the new horizons for implementation of the vision of the industry which needs completely closed and hermetic components of infrastructure. Areas of applications for these low-power nodes of architecture of x86 are gateways, a boundary and fog computing, i.e. all that it is possible to find in applications of Internet of Things (IoT), beginning from infrastructure of video surveillance systems for ensuring public security and to intelligent servers of real-time data in Industry applications 4.0. Besides, they can find the application in such applications as telecommunication and network equipment, steady against severe conditions of a surrounding working environment, and such solutions as small cells, factory gateways and storage systems.
With our modules, computers on the modules, COM Express Type 7 executed based on processor Intel Xeon D technology mean, we provided possibilities of 10 GbE for applications at the industrial server level. It is the first stage of implementation of 10 GbE to industrial areas, and it creates a basis for more intelligent devices at the level of the infrastructure and processes differing in constructions with a low own power consumption, but capable to provide at once several interfaces 10 GbE — Christian Eder, the marketing director in congatec company explained. — Effectively to move ahead in this direction and to receive notable results of our efforts, we created the permanent road map of development of modules intended for permanent expansion of opportunities of 10 GbE in the broadest spectrum of industrial applications. |
Platforms from congatec provide capacity to 10 GbE in real time and virtualizations support technologies that allows to maximize error-free running time and to increase fault tolerance, to minimize a delay and to provide high performance from each core of data processing. Together with the cloud congatec API interface for the distributed built-in boundary servers they give opportunities to managers of data processing centers to execute remote control and monitoring of systems. These platforms provide the minimum delay for data storage devices and also high-speed access lines for the most different sensor networks, buses of field devices and industrial Ethernet networks, specified in congatec.
