WMS Infor on a warehouse complex of the New trance Port company in Novorossiysk

At the end of 2015 the project on implementation WMS INFOR on a warehouse complex of Novotrans-Port company in Novorossiysk came to the end.

The Novotrans-Port company relatively entered recently the market of providing 3PL-services, but already managed to gain trust and signed the contract with Gazpromneft — Lubricants company. As an implementation methodology the option of implementation of ready-made INDUSTRY SOLUTION was selected. Implementation of INDUSTRY SOLUTION allowed to receive "New trance Port" not only process automation, but also the ready approved technology of work that is especially useful for "young" business. Also it allowed to reduce terms and implementation cost.

The warehouse complex includes three warehouses. In all warehouses it is organized address storages and processing of goods for several types of warehousing. Warehousing on frontal racks, in the stuffed rack systems and also floor multilevel storage is applied by ranks.

A WMS system provides effective use of the areas and shipment taking into account expiration dates (on FIFO). Depending on characteristics of goods and the current filling of the warehouse WMS INFOR calculates optimal storage location for the goods arriving on a warehouse taking into account all used warehousing methods. Process control of shipment allowed to increase twice the processing speed of orders and to guarantee the correct automatic formation of the accompanying documentation. Separately it should be noted the involved functionality of accounting of quality certificates and certificates of conformity on actually shipped goods. Actually this functionality allows to exclude completely handwork of the specialist in certification and to transfer his functions to the normal operator.

The personnel of Novotrans-Port company for short terms gained knowledge and practical experience of work in the automated warehouse under control of WMS INFOR using data collection terminals. Thanks to effective interaction of specialists of Logikon and "New trance Port" the implementation project was carried successfully out in only 2 months.

In process of the development "New trance Port" will be able gradually to increase the involved functionality of a WMS system and to enter the market of 3PL-services of Novorossiysk with qualitatively new level of service.
