The LANIT was developed by the Internet portal for the project of the Russian military and historical society "МЕСТОПАМЯТИ.РФ"

The all-Russian public and state organization "Russian Military and Historical Society" on the eve of the celebration of the Victory Day of 2016 at a briefing of ITAR-TASS announced start of the new socially significantInternet portal "Местопамяти.рф". This project is created for the purpose of formation of the national card of objects of military and historical heritage. The portal allows to conduct public condition monitoring of memorials, eternal flames, mass graves, monuments to defenders of the Fatherland, to plan and popularize actions for reduction by forces of citizens, the organizations and the state of Places of Memory in a worthy type, for the sake of preserving of these important elements of our history for descendants.

The socially important online project of the Russian military and historical society "Местопамяти.рф" was developed by LANIT. The idea of the project in education in younger generations of patriotic feelings of pride of a feat of our people in the Great Patriotic War, grieve over the shed blood for the world on Earth, participation in case of perpetuation of the memory of defenders of the Fatherland. The project is directed to preserving in a worthy status of all military and historical memorial objects in the territory of our Homeland and beyond its limits where the people who presented us the world were killed in heavy fighting.

Active patriotically well-mannered citizens create the national map of all Places of Memory. Everyone can add information on the known events and objects. Uniform the Internet the platform allows to show an active position to the people wishing to participate in national community work days on objects. Any person will be able to imprint and save on the portal of the photo of a status of memorial objects, the photo of those people whose names are cut in a stone. Any Place of Memory can be connected with others the Internet the resources devoted to a people feat including with materials of the central archive of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. People can publish the photoreports on the held festive events devoted to the celebration of another anniversary of the Great Victory on flower-laying ceremonies, about congratulations of veterans. Information on events and objects can share with friends on social networks.

Everyone can browse information on the national card. For introduction of data it is necessary to undergo simple registration, and it is possible to enter through a profile of the social network.

Consolidation of efforts of the Russian military and historical society, the All-Russian public organizations "Volunteers of the Victory" and "Search Movement of Russia", and us, will already allow to see and save shortly for all mankind the map of Places of Memory which still was not, to estimate a real condition of these objects, and personal participation to help history logging.

Thanks to the portal and national monitoring it will become possible to give an incentive for timely restoration of memorials. The functionality of social network will help to solve one more serious problem: after reconstruction monuments quite often lose original form, for example, from memorials names of fighters disappear. Comparison of a photo of memorials before reconstruction will help to resolve an accuracy issue. On the website sociological polls of citizens will be organized and the ratings of a status of objects of military and historical heritage are published.

Using the Place of Memory project in society awareness of need of manifestation of respect for the memory of the people who gave the life for the sake of the world on our planet forms. By different calculations only in the territory of Russia exists an order of the 100th thousand objects of military and historical heritage. Everyone can contribute to preserving of historical memory for descendants already now and pass the baton to younger generations.
