Students of the Moscow polytechnical university submitted in the spring of 2016 the KeyKeeper project: development is focused on use of the smartphone as the universal admission, a key and card of access everywhere where there will be a KeyKeeper system. The project won first place in a final stage of the tender monitoring "Smart University" within which students provided the ideas on creation in the Moscow Polytechnic University of the comfortable educational environment.
A system includes the electronic lock, mobile application and a cloud service. Mobile application works in the background and at contact with the electronic lock sends data of the user to the server. Thus, double check of an input and information storage about opening of the electronic lock is performed. The KeyKeeper project can be used as a basis for similar solutions, both in educational, and for commercial purposes.
The project managed to win awards on "Megakhakatona of Intel: IoT Roadshow 2015".
In the next plans at creators of the project – Pavel Karpenko, Stanislav Kuskov and Oleg Potkin – to make it open (to open the source code and all system architecture) and to build in project activity of college engineering teams of the university. The grant won at tender monitoring in the amount of 100 thousand rubles will be used for development of a full-fledged working prototype. Further a system can be used both in educational, and for commercial purposes.
The companies became partners of the project Intel and Microsoft: Intel provided a payment of Intel Edisson and sensors, and Microsoft – BizSpark subscription (it is the program of Microsoft which gives to the beginning entrepreneurs free access to a set of license building tools and software of Microsoft, including the cloud Azure resources).
