2016: Rosseti test PostgreSQL to refuse Oracle

The Rosseti holding wants to transfer the ECM system based on the Documentum platform from Oracle DBMS on open PostgreSQL DBMS, told TAdviser two sources well familiar with plans of this organization, in October, 2016.

According to the interlocutor of TAdviser, partners unrolled preliminary test installation among the customer. Testing is unofficial, notes a source. It becomes in order that Rosseti could look how a system at loadings on new DBMS behaves.

Rosseti test PostgreSQL and in the long term expect to refuse Oracle

Testing of PostgreSQL is conducted with the new version of Documentum (version 7.3) which Dell EMC for wide use is going to start in December, 2016. Before the version became available to developers and partners. Unlike the previous versions of Documentum, in it support of the Open source software for the first time appeared: in addition to PostgreSQL the platform supports OS now CentOS and Ubuntu. In Dell EMC told that it is connected with numerous requests of clients, mainly, century USA.

Rosseti - one of the largest users of Documentum in Russia: according to the interlocutor of TAdviser, about 40 thousand employees taking into account affiliated enterprises work with it.

According to a source, Rosseti are interested in migration with Oracle as pursue import substitution policy. Earlier in October, for example, the holding announced the planned pilot project on installation of a packet of office applications "MyOffice" which could replace Microsoft Office.

Rosseti could not answer questions of TAdviser concerning migration on PostgreSQL of the Documentum system and, perhaps, other systems too.

2015: The agreement on support from ID-Management Technologies

In 2015 Rosseti and ID Management Technologies signed the annual service provision agreement on technical support of the automated system of managerial document flow (ASMDF) based on Documentum.

Earlier ID-Management Technologies rendered to Rosseti services in upgrade of ASUD and its integration with other systems which are used into the companies, for example, 1C.

2009: Implementation of Documentum in executive office of IDGC Holding

In August, 2009 TopS Business Integrator (TopS BI), entering into Sistematika Group, completed implementation of the automated system of managerial document flow (ASMDF) in executive office IDGC Holding (afterwards transformed to Rosseti holding. A system is developed on the basis of the EMC Documentum software products for automation of all business processes of managerial document flow of the company.

Implementation of an automated system of managerial document flow in executive office IDGC Holding - the next stage of the project on creation of a common information space and uniform approach in the field of managerial document flow in holding and its subsidiaries – the interregional distribution electric grid companies where the ASUD system is in commercial operation from the middle of 2008.

A system covers all structural divisions of executive office IDGC Holding. Its centralized architecture assumes the simultaneous access for users of a system to uniform storage of electronic documents protected by on-line. The module implemented in ASUD Federation supports geographically distributed system operation and allows to organize delivery of documents from executive office of holding in the interregional distribution grid companies and their branches and back in real time.

A system automates work with the entering and outgoing correspondence, orders, orders of heads, protocols of Board of Directors, orders on sending and on training, resolutions, notifications and also internal administrative documents of level of the company and divisions. System implementation provides complex business process automation of documentary providing, delivery of documents and orders in real time, control of work with documents and their execution, the organization of uniform base of managerial documents. Besides, operating control of execution of documents and instructions, the organization of remote work, document flow condition monitoring is provided.

In 3 months of ASUD it was implemented in all workplaces of staff of executive office IDGC Holding (250 jobs). In time trial operation in a system more than 3000 documents were created and processed and more than 6000 resolutions are created.
