IT infrastructure of Hoff replaced the Austrian DPC with a cloud of CROC

The network of hypermarkets of furniture and goods for the house of Hoff performed migration from Austria to Russia of the infrastructure as a part of ten IT systems, including ERP, corporate mail, file resources, internal portals. Moving took about a month and allowed to provide requirements of the Russian legislation in storage areas and personal data processings of the Russian buyers.

As primary base for placement of information systems the cloud of CROC is selected. Further for increase in fault tolerance of services the customer distributed the information resources between several platforms, two of which are in Virtual data center of CROC.

The joint project team booked audit and the step-by-step plan of migration which provided transfer of systems one by one is worked out. Afterwards, using the removable mediums provided by the customer in a cloud of CROC the key application of the retailer — the database collecting information on all shops of network and buyers was unrolled. Then engineers of CROC for the purpose of ensuring current status of information synchronized this base with that that remained in the Austrian DPC. Considering criticality of the ERP system for Hoff business, switching of the database from the foreign server on Russian was carried out within one night.

Ensuring disaster tolerance became a final migratory stage of infrastructure. Developed a test procedure on switching from one DPC for this CROC in another in case of accidents. To prove operability of the solution, this switching is performed in combat conditions — on weekday. As a result all process took only 15 minutes, after it work more than 600 office employees of retail chain stores took place in the normal mode.

For example, it was required to optimize and configure in addition databases in a cloud that they worked at "the new soil" as before.
