Rostelecom will create a video surveillance system in the Tyumen region

Rostelecom together with Department of informatization of the Tyumen region started project implementation on creation of the single system of video surveillance covering places of mass stay of people in the territory of the Tyumen region.

The created video surveillance system will provide warning of offenses and crimes on streets of the cities of the Tyumen region and visual observation of an operational situation at any time.

According to the project Rostelecom will render telecommunication services in video transmission from means of video surveillance in the Data processing center of the Government of the Tyumen region where the video information will be used for security of the population and socially significant objects. Within the project it is going to mount more than 600 cameras on 143 objects of video surveillance in the cities Tyumen Tobolsk, Ishim, Zavodoukovsk, Yalutorovsk and the Tyumen municipal district.

"In the modern world information technologies are actively applied in the field of security of life activity of the population. Installation of surveillance cameras in public places and organizations is an important element of implementation of complex approach within this direction in the Tyumen region. There is no doubt that use of a regional video surveillance system will allow to make life of the population of safer what statistics of other subjects where such system is already implemented surely confirms, - the director of the department of informatization of the Tyumen region Alexander Albychev notes. - Video cameras will equip not only streets, squares and the yards, but also the organizations where perhaps big accumulation of people – stations, hospitals, schools, shopping centers, etc."

Project implementation will take place in several stages. At the first stage Rostelecom will set support and metalwork for fastening of video cameras, will mount video cameras, will construct communication fiber lines. At the second stage operators will carry out balancing and commissioning for connection of video cameras to a data network.
