On June 07, 2016 the Polygraph Center South Company reported[1] about control automation by production of flexible packaging, the label and promotional products using the solution "1C: Polygraphy 8".
Project Tasks
In process of growth of business and increase in number of the entering orders of the company the information system which would help to optimize production management – to accelerate calculation of draft cost of orders and formation of process charts became necessary, to provide operational planning and control of finished product output. It was required to adjust exact calculation of planned amount of the materials necessary for accomplishment of each specific order, to strengthen control of profitability and profitability of production. For the solution of assigned tasks the management "the Polygraph Center the South" selected industry solution "1C: Polygraphy 8" – the ERP system intended for complex automation of the enterprises which are engaged in production and sale of a printed material. The Armex company having wide experience of automation of the polygraphic enterprises became the partner in implementation.
Project Results
A system helped Polygraph Center South company to organize operational production management and to achieve the following results:
- All production operations now normirovana on technology processes and items of equipment. Sales managers had an opportunity to estimate actual cost of orders at a stage of predesign of their cost. It helps them to control profitability of accomplishment of each order and to manage flexibly pricing, offering clients the optimal prices on services and products.
- Operational planning of production taking into account current orders and utilization of capacity is organized. Exact calculation of planned amount of the materials necessary for accomplishment of each specific order is adjusted. Material requisitions form taking into account the available remaining balance and the production schedule approved in a system now. As a result duration of equipment downtimes was reduced by 20%, the speed of accomplishment of orders increased, and products production volume at the same capacities increased by 17%.
- Accuracy of calculation of actual cost of production increased. The management of printing house had an opportunity to trace all chain of expenses, to control cost value of orders, to quickly estimate and plan profitability and profitability of production.
- There was an opportunity to consider exact material cost in cost value of orders: a system automatically considers daily change in the exchange rate of currencies and at the time of calculation of order cost recalculates material cost at the relevant ruble exchange rate. It helped the company to trace more precisely the cost of the supplies used in production.
- Managers in real time trace now implementation phases of orders, a status of settlement with clients and shipment of finished goods. The client can receive irrefragable and prompt response on any question at any moment – whether it be properties of materials of packaging or readiness of the order and delivery dates.
For increase in efficiency in the conditions of growth of business and increase in number of orders we made the decision on implementing solution "1C: Polygraphy 8". As a result we could ensure functioning of personnel of the enterprise in a single system where all information necessary for it for work is available to each employee. We got rid of double entry of data, employees carry out the routine tasks without delays. Now we can quickly calculate the cost of orders in the automatic mode, plan their accomplishment in production, create process charts.
