B-SHD-400-VD is hardware-software DWH.

On June 9, 2016 the Bulat company announced development of a hardware-software storage system. As a part of the solution component parts from Central Asia[1] are used[1].

The Bulat company provided the hardware-software complex of the same name — storage system (DWH). For June 9, 2016 one model DWH — "B-SHD-400-VD" is ready. In plans of the company to expand a line to six positions. DWH "" Damask steel the structure Rostec — will deliver "RT-Inform".

According to statements of developers, the circuit designer of a product - the property of Damask steel. It is created partially by specialists of the company, partially - in partnership with foreign entities specially under the order. The equipment can be made by a contract method as abroad, and in the Russian Federation.

Victoria Shelepova, the technical director of RT-Inform, reported that in Damask steel the electronic stuffing of Asian production is used. It is connected with the fact that structures of Rostec cannot get access to the last developments of Intel because of the known sanctions.

DWH Damask steel supports several different RAID configurations (technology of consolidation of drives in uniform disk space for the purpose of backup of information). Including the RAID N+M configuration, the patent for which belongs to the Russian company "Raidix", is supported. This solution allows failure to 32 disks, saving working capacity (the maximum quantity of disks in a system is not specified).

DWH Damask steel supports Active-Active cluster technology. It ensures simultaneous operation of two nodes with balancing of loading and a continued access to everyone.

Among other innovations of DWH there is Damask steel:

  • algorithm of detection and correction of the hidden errors at the runtime normal disk transactions by the analysis of RAID metadata without performance penalty;
  • the mechanism of the partial reconstruction allowing to recover only a separate part of the hard drive containing the damaged data thanks to an algorithm of calculation of the RAID;
  • the mechanism of anticipatory reconstruction allowing to optimize reading speed at the expense of an exception of process to two disks, reading speed from which is lower, than at the others.
