Stack Group: Collecting of statistics of VM-TsOD

Collecting of statistics of VM-TsOD - the program for collecting of statistics of virtual machines and virtual data centers.

On June 14, 2016 the Stack Group company announced development of the software product for collecting of statistics from a cloud. He helps to receive detailed statistics on each virtual machine and on all virtual data center for a certain interval of time, beginning of day of implementation. The program interacts only with means of virtualization of VMware.

A system helps to obtain detailed analytical data:

• changes of configurations of virtual machines,
• the volume of the consumed computing resources for the set period, days or hours on which they come peaks of resource consumption, changes of the consumption map of this or that resource, etc.

Use of software helps to plan expansion of volume of computing resources according to the predicted consumption of information systems, to calculate their cost on short-term, medium-term and long-term perspectives.

Many companies regularly have a problem of accounting of the consumed resources and forecasting of their effective use under future tasks. Statistics can be received from means of virtualization of VMware, however there is a serious problem, so far as concerns the big periods as it just is not stored in a hypervisor. A number of data stops being available already next day. Therefore we created own software product allowing to collect statistics which can necessary time is stored. All statistics is provided in a format for the further automated processing.
